@On the north shore of Lake Shinji stands Matsue's quiet hot spring district.
@The hotels and ryokan lined along the lake all use water bubbing naturally out of the ground at a near-boiling 76Ž. In this district is located the famed O-Yu-Kake Jizo, where many come to boil eggs or pray for health as they pour scalding water over a statue of the Buddhist deity Jizo.
@Nearby is the Matsue Folk Art Center(Meisan Hall), where various regional products and performing arts can be seen.
